Council
Mayor
Earl J. Isaacs, a resident of the Village since 1966, was
originally born in our neighboring community of Corwin. He attended Wayne
Public Schools through sixth grade, and finished his secondary education
in nearby Lebanon. After high school, Mayor Isaacs served in the U.S. Army
from 1970-1972, and after a tour of duty through Germany, received an
honorable discharge. After completing his military service, Mayor Isaacs
entered the screen printing business in Waynesville. Mayor Isaacs has had
the honor of printing for the Three Soldiers Statue in Washington D.C.,
which was a statue built in honor of those men and women that served in
Vietnam. Mayor Isaacs was named the official vendor for t-shirts depicting
the statue, recognizing and honoring Vietnam Veterans. Mayor Isaacs' past
leadership positions include serving two terms as National Delegate and
three terms as State Delegate for the Convention of the Vietnam Veterans
of America. Mayor Isaacs has also served two terms as a State Delegate for
the AFL-CIO during his employment with General Motors, and he was
Editor-in-Chief or their Horizons employee publication for 14 years. Mayor
Isaacs is also a member of Masonic Lodge 163, American Legion Post 615,
and he is a Kentucky Colonel. Mayor Isaacs served two terms on Village
Council and became Mayor on January 1, 2008. Mayor Isaacs is committed to
bettering the community through improved education, preservation of the
historic district, enhanced public safety, and economic development and

Sandra
Stemple has been a resident of the Village of Waynesville
for sixteen years. During that time, "Sandy" has served four terms on the
Village Council, sitting on various boards and committees throughout her
tenure. Currently she is serving as Council President and is in the middle
of a four-year term. Councilwoman Stemple currently serves on the Police
Committee, the Parks and Recreation Board, the Historic Preservation
Board, and the Finance Committee. Sandy has been married to Pete Stemple
for forty-six years and together they have four children and nine
grandchildren. In her free time Sandy is active in several organizations
throughout the community, including the Progressive Women's Club, the
American Legion Auxiliary, and St. Augustine Church Council. Sandy is a
long-time employee of Hometown Marketplace, located in downtown
Waynesville.

Mr.
Feicht served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a supply
officer and 18 years as a contractor supporting federal, state and local
government throughout Ohio. He is a business community representative on
Ohio's Area 7 Workforce Development Board, supporting 43 counties. He is a
member of the Waynesville Historical Society, the Museum at the Friends
Home and Friends of the Library. He and his wife, Rosalind, are Ohio
natives. Long familiar with Waynesville, they relocated here in early
2005. They have four grown children.

Mr. James
Martin was appointed to Village Council in October 2006 to
replace Mr. Jesse Gaither. His term expires on December 31, 2009. Mr.
Martin serves on the Planning Commission, Public Works Commission, Parks and Recreation Board,
Police Committee, and is the alternate representative to the Waynesville
Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Martin can be reached at

Mr. Alan Bunker was appointed to Village
Council in January of 2009 to fill a vacant seat. Mr. Bunker
currently serves on the Public Works and Finance Committees.

Mr. Raymond Otto was appointed to
Village Council in October of 2008 to fill a vacant seat. He currently
serves on the Planning Commission, Public Works Committee and Historic
Preservation Board.

Ms. Joette
Hightower has been
involved in the Waynesville community for almost 20 years. During the
1990’s she owned and operated Bitter Sweet Antique Mall on Main Street and
in 1998 became a resident of the Village. The following year, Joette
retired from Ameritech Phone Company after working for thirty years as a
Service Technician. She remains active with the Main Street scene,
currently an employee at Braden & Sons Sweet Shoppe. Joette is an avid
hiker and walker in the local nature reserves, enjoys working in the yard,
tending flowers, and is passionate about animals, especially cats.
She serves on the Finance Committee and is the Chamber of Commerce
representative.
