Council Vacancy: The Village of Waynesville Council is currently seeking to fill a vacant council seat. This position will be appointed by Council as outlined in Section 3.05 (D) of the Village Charter. Qualified candidates must have resided within the Municipality for at least one year prior to assuming office and must remain a resident and qualified elector. Letters of interest and/or applications may be returned to the Clerk of Council, Village of Waynesville, 1400 Lytle Road, Waynesville, Ohio 45068 by Thursday December 11th, 2008 for consideration.

 Planning Commission Council Vacancy: The Village of Waynesville currently has a vacancy on its Planning Commission. The Planning Commission reviews studies, surveys, plans, reports and maps relative to overall planning and zoning issues in the Village of Waynesville. The Planning Commission typically reviews and makes its recommendations to the Council in regards to planning and zoning. Other powers and duties of the Planning Commission include those established by Village Charter (see 7.04) and by the Council by ordinance or resolution. The Planning Commission is made up of members of Council and five “citizen members” and members must all be lawfully registered voters in the Village of Waynesville and may hold no other municipal office. Qualified residents that are interested in filling this vacancy may apply at the Waynesville Government Center, located at 1400 Lytle Road.
