Chief Copeland,
formerly from Northern Ohio, has been in law enforcement for over 20 years
following a four-year tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps.
Chief Copeland served overseas during his military tenure, where he was
also a member of the Marine Corps karate team. The Chief’s education
consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a minor in Criminology
from Indiana Wesleyan University where he graduated with honors. He has
also graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia,
Certified Law Enforcement Executive Training and the
Police Executive Leadership College in Columbus, Ohio both sponsored by
the Law Enforcement Foundation in cooperation with the Ohio Association of
Chiefs of Police. Chief Copeland is a
member of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, the International
Association of Chiefs of Police and the FBI National Academy Associates.
Chief Copeland is married with two sons, one who is currently serving in the Army, 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq. Chief’s
hobbies consist of weight training, martial arts and playing guitar. He enjoys working with
the residents
of the Village in a collaborative effort to improve the quality of
life in
Waynesville.

Sgt. Wiseman has been with the department since January 2001. Before that,
he served as a reserve officer for the Village of Maineville, and he
served in the US Air Force in law enforcement Sgt. Wiseman serves as the
department’s Tactical Rifle/Carbine Instructor. He is also a certified
Bike Patrol Officer and supervises the Bike Patrol Unit. Sgt. Wiseman
supervises day-to-day patrol operations and the Field Training Program for
the department. Sgt. Wiseman participates in the Warren County Cybersting
and the Little Miami River Sting. Sgt. Wiseman’s hobbies include shooting
and camping. Sgt. Wiseman is married and has two children.
